4.8 Visual arts
The visual arts are an integral and enriching part of the cultural and creative industries. They contribute to artistic expression, visual communication, contemporary culture and aesthetic appreciation in all its forms, from traditional arts to new technologies and forms of expression. They include painting, sculpture, photography, illustration and other forms of visual artistic expression that are fundamental to creativity and personal expression. Through this course we have gone through some of these areas such as cinema, architecture and craftsmanship.

Latin America has been home to an outstanding tradition of muralism, where artists use murals to express social, political and cultural issues, and visual artists use different media and techniques to communicate ideas, emotions and concepts.
